What’s New in Stablecoin Strategies: Flexibility, Balance, and Better APY’s
Another big week for A.S.S, with one standout strategy setting the pace and delivering some of the highest APY’s we’ve seen so far.
This surge closely followed a rise in stablecoin swap volume over the weekend, reinforcing how active market flows can directly benefit liquidity providers.
But that’s not the only reason to get excited.
The upcoming 1.10 update introduces major improvements to stablecoin strategies, making it even easier to customise and optimise your yield strategy. Let’s explore what’s coming.
Coming in 1.10: Strategy Improvements
1. Asymmetric Ticks
One of the most impactful changes is the ability to set different buy and sell ticks when creating a strategy.
Previously, strategies used a symmetric spread, the same percentage on either side of the reference price. Now, you can configure asymmetric ticks. For example:
- Set a tighter buy tick at +2bps
- Set a wider sell tick at +10bps
This gives LPs far more flexibility to respond to market dynamics and cross the spread more effectively. It also helps rebalance towards the stronger side of the flow, especially useful when one side of the pool is more active than the other.
2. Dynamic Strategies (Experimental)
We’re also introducing dynamic spread adjustment, an experimental feature that automatically adapts your spread based on your current asset balance.
Let’s say your strategy is holding mostly USDT and very little USDC. In that case, the strategy will:
- Widen your buy range for USDC
- Tighten your sell range for USDT
This enables the strategy to intelligently self-correct over time without manual intervention. Think of it as an auto-balancing mechanism that keeps you in sync with market conditions.

These upgrades unlock a more competitive and responsive LP experience. Specifically, they:
- Make strategies more adaptable to flow and volatility
- Encourage smarter behaviour across competing LPs
- Improve internal rebalancing performance via the LP app
- Reduce idle capital and maximise yield opportunities
